API Manufacturing in Iran — Nikan Exir Bakhtar (NEB)

Nikan Exir Bakhtar (NEB) was established in 2012 to develop and manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients. The company was inaugurated in 2015 by the Deputy Minister for Research and Technology of Iran’s Ministry of Health. With specialist staff, production facilities and analytical laboratories, NEB focuses on process development, manufacturing and quality control.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients, or APIs, are the active components of medicines. NEB’s work spans synthesis-route development and process optimisation through manufacturing and quality control. Quality at Every Stage

Quality control is an integral part of manufacturing at Nikan Exir Bakhtar. Raw-material testing, in-process controls, packaging-material checks and final-product evaluation use validated analytical methods and relevant pharmacopoeial references.

The in-process control team also oversees weighing, manufacturing stages, equipment performance, the water system, sampling and implementation of standard operating procedures.
