Nikan Exir Bakhtar was established in 2012 and inaugurated in 2015. The company focuses on process development and the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, supported by specialists in synthesis chemistry, research and development, and quality control.

Quality control
The laboratory's described activities include raw material and product testing, instrumental and physicochemical analysis, stability testing, water testing and in-process sampling. These activities use standard operating procedures and pharmaceutical references, including the USP, BP and EP pharmacopoeias.
The listed equipment includes HPLC, a Karl Fischer titrator, pH and conductivity meters, laboratory balances, centrifuges, ovens and autoclaves.
